Talk Radio Europe is the chosen medium for information broadcast on behalf of the Junta de Andalucia, regional Town Halls, the British Consulate and many other official bodies wishing to communicate with the expatriate communities in southern Spain.

An amount from the sale of Whittington Manor will be donated to the BBC Children In Need Appeal.

20 November 10: An amount from the sale of Claire Voet's book Whittington Manor will be automatically donated to the BBC Children In Need Appeal, a company limited by guarantee (charity number 802052 in England & Wales and SC039557 in Scotland) will be donating some royalties to BBC Children in Need.

The BBC Children in Need Appeal is a registered charity in England and Wales. The charity provides support in the form of grants to organisations working with children who may have experienced mental, physical or sensory disabilities. These children may also suffer behavioural or psychological disorders and/or are living in poverty conditions.

The charity operates all year round, not just the months leading up to Appeal night, and their staff around the UK process thousands of applications for funding. Every year the funding requests exceed the amount of money raised so they carefully assess all applications to ensure that grants are targeted on areas of real need.

Central FM is the flagship radio station for English-speaking residents and holidaymakers, broadcasting to the entire Costa del Sol, inland areas and Gibraltar.

Talk Radio Europe is the chosen medium for information broadcast on behalf of the Junta de Andalucia, regional Town Halls, the British Consulate and many other official bodies wishing to communicate with the expatriate communities in southern Spain.

01 November 10: Ingram Advance Trade Advertising now available for new titles.

Ingram Advance is a monthly catalogue that is distributed to booksellers and libraries around the world. Titles are eligible to be included in Ingram Advance only once, when they are first released. With this marketing service, Ingram will produce a short paragraph describing the title. Retail pricing information, and a black & white cover image will also be included. Author may request that a title be advertised in Ingram Advance only at the time a title is submitted for publishing. Due to print deadlines, titles submitted to Ingram Advance will not appear in the catalogue until 3-4 months after a title has been approved to print.

Ingram charges per listing (one month). If you are interested in this service, please send us your request within 30 days from the date of your publishing contract.

1. Books by Harry Riley, 'Sins of the father' & 'Captain damnation' now available at various Libraries. Both books have been accepted by the Nottingham Central Library for their books by local authors division and The Irish Lending Library has also added the two books to their list.

 

2. Harry Riley has published an Ebook of 'The Ghosts of Edgwick Abbey and other strange tales', which can be downloaded onto virtually any type of Ereading device. Available from Smashword. The Ebook contains 40 new and original short stories and has been approved for their Premium Catalogue with a hyperlinked table of contents.

18 September 10: Launch for Charity event feedback. Dr. Peter Gatenby launched James McCarthy's  'Me and the Foreign Girl'.

Professor Peter Gatenby recently launched Me and the Foreign Girl', a new novel by James McCarthy at the University College Dublin. One hundred and fifty invited guest attended and enjoyed the hospitality as well as the music of the 'Steadfast' band. A good night was had by all and the proceeds from the sale of the book went to fund research into Cancer and Parkinson's diseases. Author Harry Riley will be on the judges' panel for a Children's Writing Competition sponsored by W.H. Smith. The winners’ prizes will be awarded at the October Book festival at Nottinghamshire County Hall.

Author Harry Riley will also be will be reading Extracts from his books at the Eastwood Writers Evening Event in October at Brinsley Parish Hall. The books will be on sale.
