been written to aid the development and progression of becoming a qualified
driver from the cockpit drill stage to passing the practical test and
beyond.
The booklet is
directed toward the learner driver and their tutor.
A tutor can be
anyone who is over 21 and has a full driving licence for 3 years or more
The majority of
learners are taught to drive by an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) which
means that after passing various tests the Driving Standards Agency (DSA)
are satisfied that this person can teach learners and can charge for the
tuition.
A learner can also
enhance their training by practicing with a parent or friend in conjunction
with professional lessons as the old adage says ‘practice makes perfect’.
USING THIS
BOOKLET
1. The terms and
conditions ensure the learner and instructor know exactly what is required.
2. The instructor
assessment shows what has been achieved in each lesson and what needs to be
done.
3. The workbook
can be filled in during the lesson or can be used by the learner to remember
the method of each manoeuvre any omissions corrected on next lesson. The
notes pages can also be used in a similar way.

card ensures a lesson will not be missed.
5. This booklet
will aid the parent or friend who may give the pupil private tuition to
ensure that the routines and methods the learner has been taught is
