At Pneuma Springs we really love books and we are passionate about the authors who write them. We recognise that putting together a quality manuscript involves a great deal of hard work by authors and that any published work should be judged on its merit, unbiased critique, content, presentation, etc.
We welcome well-written high quality manuscripts covering novels, biographies of well-known persons either alive or deceased, educational books, children’s books, international affairs of political interest, theological subjects, women’s issues, poetry, non-fictional and fictional historical subjects. We are looking to publish books written by authors in a variety of fields including music, sports, business, novelists, historians, academic etc.
To publish with us, please follow the submission guidelines below.
For non-fictional works, the manuscript should be well researched as appropriate, on a topic that is not vague to be of interest to the general readers. It should be well-written, proficiently checked for errors, with clear illustrations where applicable. It should preferably have been endorsed or viewed by another person that is knowledgeable or an authority in the respective subject.
For fictional works, the manuscript should have an exciting plot and carefully planned. The interest should be generated by the characters themselves and also by what they do. We look for solid plots, well-developed settings and characters that are ‘fully realised’. We want originality. The content should correspond to a good, powerful story-line, with an appropriate and stimulating ending. We desire novels that are believable and will take the reader out of the realm of everyday existence.
Fictional historical works should be well researched and totally fictional worlds must be visualised clearly. Extensive use of vocabulary is encouraged. We discourage superfluous use of expletives which we consider unnecessary in any credible literary work.
Although each work will be reviewed on its own merit, we tend not to accept works that include: Sexual abuse or rape – (unless it is a scene that is absolutely vital to the story line and moderated), extreme violence, blasphemous material, abuse of children, spousal abuse and promotion of hatred.
Our submission requirements are shown below.
Send these as an attachment to an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Following submission, manuscripts will be assessed and if accepted, authors will be provided with further details and informed about how to proceed with publishing.
Upon acceptance of your work, we work with you throughout the publishing process, provide you with a variety of effective book promotion suggestions and support you with book promotional materials.
If your manuscript is accepted we will inform you about how to proceed with publishing.
Please note that at this stage there is no obligation in this submission to commit you or us to entering into a publishing agreement. All material sent to us is protected by copy right laws.
Due to the volume of manuscripts that we receive, we do not normally acknowledge receipt but aim to give feedback within 2 – 6 weeks.
